Founded in Hirakata City, Osaka Prefecture.

1977
Reorganized as Asukafoods Co., Ltd., Began full operation of Japanese and Western sweets in Utsubo, Nishi-ku, Osaka.

1987
Developed “Honwarabi Mochi” and started selling it in western Japan.

1992
Developed “Transparent Warabi Mochi” Started sales.

1993
Kansai Television boroad casted a Advertisement for warabi mochi.

1995
New factory established in Tatsumi Kita, Ikuno-ku, Osaka City, and production of fresh Japanese Sweets begins.

1997
Head office relocated to Tatsumi Kita, Ikuno-ku, Osaka City and production facilities doubled.

2000
Opened Tokyo Office in Takanawa, Minato-ku, Tokyo, and began full sales operation in the East Japan market.

2001
Radio commercial broadcasted simultaneously in Osaka and Nagoya. TV Advertisement on Anko Mochi.

2002
Nagoya sales office opened in Meito-ku, Nagoya. Radio commercials for Warabi Mochi were broadcast in the Tokyo metropolitan area.

2003
Established Asuka Co., Ltd. in Noda City, Chiba Prefecture as a production base for the Tokyo metropolitan area.

 

Tokyo Sales Office moved to Noda City, Chiba Prefecture. Nagoya Sales Office is relocated to Atsuta-ku, Nagoya.

2005
Moved Tokyo Sales Office to Taito-ku, Tokyo as Tokyo Branch.

2007
Changed from Asuka Ltd. to Asuka Co., Ltd.

2011
Joined the Showa Holdings Group

2012
Tokyo Branch moved to Nihonbashi-Honcho, Chuo-ku, Tokyo.

 

Announced its first medium-term Business plan, “Asukafoods Accel Plan 2012.”
